Biking Photos

Here are a few pictures from our 1995 tour before and during the The Denver Post Ride The Rockies presented by US Home. We stopped off in Rocky Mountain National Park for a day of biking before proceeding to Glenwood Springs which was the official start for Ride The Rockies in 1995. The official tour would take us over 380 miles of the Colorado Rockies in six days. We crossed the continental divide three times and climbed Berthoud Pass at 11,315 elevation among others. If this sounds crazy, let me tell you this -- it's fun to be crazy!

Four of us from Wisconsin did the ride. The pictures below are in order and don't even begin to cover the tour. There are no pictures from the first day because it was short and less interesting than the others.

This is an orgainized tour of over 2,000 riders. Every day was fun and sometimes challenging. Click on the thumbnail photo below to see a full size snap shot. The icon represents the elevation travel in that day. Unfortunately the scales aren't all the same.
